Fuller spins a delightful read with the story of her parent's lives. The focus is mostly on her mother, but she does devote a chapter to her father's life pre-Nicola. It reminded me to The Power of One and West with the Night; African stories that praise the beauty of the natural world despite human fighting. Nicola Fuller is certainly a character worth knowing and admiring. I don't have a ton to say about this other than it was quite compelling and interesting to think and learn about people living so differently and so far away.
